A concert preview of the most important spring music festival in Katowice – JazzArt.
The event is part of the celebration of the International Jazz Day UNESCO designated for 30 April since last 6 years.
This is also the first cooperation between the Silesian Museum and the Katowice JazzArt Festival.
At the age of 30, Tomasz Dąbrowski was already the author of three solo albums. As the first Pole, he was honored with the title of “Jazz Music of the Year” awarded by the Jazz Musicians’ Association on the island of Fyn. AllAboutJazz places him among the fifteen most important European musicians.
AD HOC “Strings” is a joint project of Dąbrowski and Japanese jazz musicians: Chiba, Minami and Hiroshi, realized during one night in one of Tokyo’s music clubs. Subtle rhythmic sounds connected with electronics, clear melodic motifs and improvisation, acoustic, seeking jazz with strong sound trumpet. Intriguing material, especially that the musicians played together for the first time.
The AD HOC band consists of: Hiroshi Minami / Hiroshi Tsuboi / Hiroki Chiba
