– Throughout 150 years of our history, we’ve proven to be a city of hard working people, but also a city of hospitality – underlined Deputy Mayor of Katowice, Mr Waldemar Bojarun, during the official ceremony of signing of the membership agreement.

As a UNESCO Creative City of Music, Katowice is particularly determined to become a city of shelter for persecuted musicians.  An artist will be hosted by the cultural institution Katowice City of Gardens, which is an managing institution of the programme.

Currently Katowice awaits the arrival of its first ICORN guest.
